Printing companies need to include four aspects of color management

Color management refers to the automatic and unified management and adjustment of colors in the production system to ensure the consistency of colors throughout the process. The purpose of color management is to achieve what you see is what you get. To truly achieve color management in the printing process, we must pay attention to the following four procedures:

The first is calibration. In order to keep the equipment in a normal working state and within the normal fluctuation range, it is necessary to calibrate first, that is, to establish a regular approval system;

The second is the characterization, which is to print a standard plate that meets the printing standards. The printing of this standard plate is not printed by the printing plant itself, but must be printed under the guidance of experts. When printing the standard plate, the left and right density and up and down should be maintained. Consistent density. So for the first time, use the standard plate to print. After printing, check where the problem of the printed matter is. Do compensation. Repeat printing and repeat compensation. It is very important to do a test. After the standard plate is printed, you can introduce characterization and generate an ICC file, that is, a color management file. In addition, industry experts can also make some adjustments to the standard plate to make it more in line with the standard. Because the computer only recognizes the data, the measurement of the instrument becomes particularly important. Therefore, if the final standard is normal, then the data is correct;

The third is conversion. The target point of the printed matter has a certain tendency. Some are seen by the human eye. This requires a conversion mode that meets the human eye. Some places need to make relative effects, such as focusing on the human eye. If you do it well, you can do relatively little if you don't pay attention; some visual effects must be absolute, such as maps, green represents forests, and another green represents other landforms, which requires absolute effects. In addition, there is saturation. For example, if you want to print a LOGO on the packaging, then the saturation must be correct.

The fourth is inspection. It must be checked and optimized. If problems are found, they need to be found in time. We have done the first three areas for more than 10 years, but the fourth one requires operation and actual combat. I think everyone should practice it. The stronger the execution, the fewer the problems. In fact, there are not many people who do color management in some first-line factories. "
