Food industry welcomes new software packaging module

Recently, a software module developed for the food industry that can automatically determine how to mix goods on pallets was declared successful. This approach will help the warehouse staff to discard different products on the same tray without wasting space. The warehouse staff must pack products of different shapes and specifications according to a stable arrangement, make rational use of the tray space, and ensure that the products are not damaged in transit. Faced with high production raw materials and freight suppliers and manufacturers, the biggest pressure now is how to maximize the efficiency of supply channels.

In order to solve these problems, Raw Materials Flow and Logistics Association scientists have developed this unit-order packaging module for food trade (using digital methods and information technology in packaging and transportation). This software can provide a comprehensive automatic sorting system that can load various pallets that meet specific requirements at the product distribution center. Li Hua, from the IML Packaging and Trade Logistics Department, said: "Most trays are still packaged by hand. Our characters are giving software programs how to think like an experienced operator."
