U.S. trademark, printing ink demand grows rapidly

The demand for trademarks and printing inks has grown rapidly. The United States maintains an annual growth of 7% in this respect, and its sales will increase from 8.87 billion US dollars in 1996 to 12.6 billion US dollars in 2001. The production of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape (plastic tape, $3.3 billion, paper tape) increased to $8.84 billion and the adhesive trademark was $2.5 billion. The demand for unfixed product labels is 6.2 billion U.S. dollars, and the demand for food and beverages is 3.8 billion U.S. dollars.

The output of adhesives exceeds 10.5 billion U.S. dollars, packaging will consume 25% of them, hot melt adhesives account for 11%, and pressure-sensitive adhesives account for 10%. The total demand for ink is 5 billion U.S. dollars. In 2001, the demand for ink in different packaging areas was: flexible packaging - $ 485 million; cartons - 365 million; corrugated containers - 320 million; bags and bags - - 220 million: other - 330 million. In the early 1980s, as people's awareness of environmental protection increased, European and American countries began to try to use aluminum spray products instead of composite aluminum foil for label and cigarette lining packaging. At present, the largest application market for aluminized paper is North America and Europe, which account for 80% of the world market. The annual consumption of aluminum coated paper in North America is 120,000 tons, of which labels account for 60% and the tobacco industry accounts for 18%. North America's aluminized paper has grown at a rate of more than 6%.
