Screen printing cut and cut method plate making process

The screen printing plate used for printing and dyeing can be made by hand-cutting method when the demand is not high, and direct-sensitivity plate making is generally used. Due to the use of water-based ink, it is necessary to use lacquer or urethane, phenolic resin for water-resistant strengthening treatment.

The water-repellent treatment method for the cut-cut printing plate is as follows: Spread 2 to 3 pieces of white paper on the platform, put the inside of the plate (the side of the squeegee) down on a white paper, and roll a thin layer with a roller. Paint or resin, and then gently wipe the inside of the plate with a cleaning roller (coated with the reverse side of the resin), remove the blockage of the resin part of the graphics, making the screen mesh smooth. This operation must be repeated several times to completely remove the resin from the screen image.

If urethane is used to fortify the printing plate and it is naturally dried after coating for 8 hours, it can be printed using aqueous ink. Resin reinforcement is suitable for silk screens with 120 to 150 mesh. If gold-silver ink is used, it is preferable to use a mesh of 80-100 mesh. The nylon screen used for general printing is 120-180 meshes, and the polyester meshes are 80-180 meshes. Generally, mesh screens with more than 200 mesh are not easily reinforced by resin, and therefore are not used.
