As sewage processors look for alternatives to materials such as PVC, clay, and concrete, Europe and the Middle East are bullish on demand for resilient polyolefin structural wall sewers. ZHEJIANG ERHUI TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD , https://www.jahhome.com
Sabic Petrochemicals recently introduced the high-molar-mass PP block copolymer Styylan P71EK71PS, which is said to be the only type of product on the market today for double-wall sewage pipes. Due to the high toughness of the material at low temperatures, balance of impact and toughness, and light weight, installation is also more convenient. Moreover, the material has good corrosion and chemical resistance and is significantly better than concrete pipes. The material does not need to be compounded and the density is low, so the processing cost is lower than PVC. The investment in equipment for the production of PP pipes is only 1/3 of the twin-screws used to produce PVC. The MFR of the material was 0.3 g/10 min, the flexural modulus was 1500 MPa, the ring stiffness was 4.4 kPa, and the Izod notched impact strength was 50 kJ/m2.
